Help! Please! Can I choose where I want my connecting flight to be so that weather won't interfere

Help! Please! Can I choose where I want my connecting flight to be so that weather won't interfere? ?
When flying can you choose to stop in one place before you go to another?..I mean if I fly out of dayton, ohio (a small airport) and want to get to allentown, PA (another small airport) can I select a connecting flight in Phliadelphia, PA so that if weather should hold back the flight I will be in PA and the family I am going to see will be able to come get me if worse comes to worse? I am a minor so I would not be able to rent a car or a hotel if this would happen. The connecting flights I am finding for a decent cost are in cleveland, Ohio, very far away from Allentown, PA. HELP?

yes you can if you go thru a travel agent...i do alot of travel and i try to miss chicago in the winter...i have been stuck there that is no fun. You just need to talk to an agent and tell them where you want to go. It may cost you a little more but not much just depends on airport taxes.
