I would like to fly to Miami this weekend how can I get a cheap flight?
Ive gone on all the .com sites to check flights, everything is $1,200 and up. I have to think that many times there are seats that go empty on flights......and I just don't understand why they charge so much last minute? They would rather have a seat go empty, then have me pay $200 from Cleveland to Miami?.......any suggestions would be great!

Actually, there aren't that many empty seats - many flights are OVERbooked, and people get bumped to other flights later in the day. Have you tried Priceline?

You have run into the "last minute air fare" thing -- no bargains as the flight gets closer! You might consider driving or taking bus or train.
