I am traveling to Canada for the first time. I am doing an overnight flight. I am leaving Cleveland at 7pm...and flying into Boston. I am flying out of Boston in the AM. I don't know what to expect at all, with security and such. I worried about taking my laptop. I can't afford for it to get stolen. Should I really be worried? What is the security checkpoint like? What should I expect there? Also, do I have to get a hotel in Boston, or can I just stay in the airport?

everything is sorta set up for you when you have layovers but i would take your laptop on your carryon. and you can stay at the airport rather then getting a hotel. you wouldnt be there long enough to even leave the airport.
