Driving is almost always cheaper. There is no need to fly such a short distance.
2 :
about an hour and half but it would be alot smarter to drive even with todays high gas prices
3 :
about 1 hour. consider which airline & gas prices.

Microsoft Streets and Trips says it's 347 miles from Cleveland to Chicago. If your car can get 20 MPG, That's about 18 gallons of gas one-way or 32 gallons for the round-trip. It's about 6 hours driving time, so 12 hours for the round trip, and with gas prices at $2.75, it'll cost you $88 for gasoline (plus whatever you use driving in the city). Tolls on the highways across Indiana and in the Chicago area will add to your total. I found round-trip tickets on Orbitz.com from CLE to ORD for as little as $117 (plus tax), and it's just a bit over an hours flight time. Of course, once you get to the airport, you'll have to rent a car or hire a taxi to get where you want to go in the city. I guess it comes down to what is more important to you... Time or Money. It will cost less money to drive your own car, but you will spend a full day on the road, where the airlines can have you in Chicago in about 1 1/2 hours, for only a few dollars more.
