How do I get to Cabo San Lucas from cleveland, Ohio

How do I get to Cabo San Lucas from cleveland, Ohio?
I am going on vacation next year with my in-laws to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and I don't think there is a direct flight to Mexico. Someone told me that flying from Cleveland, Ohio you have to fly into Houston and then from there to Mexico? Has anyone ever flown to Cabo San Lucas and know where I'd have to fly into if I'm from Cleveland, Ohio? I'm so confused!

There are direct, some seasonal, flights to Cabo San Lucas from Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, San Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle, Newark, Vancouver and Calgary. American Airlines, Delta and Continental servicing most of them and Alaska Air and a couple of Mexican airlines moving the western states' traffic. Cleveland to Houston would probably your best bet.

Try US airways. I have flown out of columbus many times to differnet places in mexico. I am pretty sure US Airways flys from columbus to cabo san lucas. It will not be a direct flight though. You will fly to charlotte North Carolina or Phoenix Arizona and then to Cabo San Lucas. Go to the US ariways homepage. They usually have the best prices as well.

Cabo San Lucas does not have an international airport so to do a search you have to use SJD which is the airport that services the region of Los Cabos. You are looking at at least one stop in Texas. You may find a charter company that is based in Cleveland and that would be non-stop. Funjet does charter flights out of Cleveland.....See link

Just get on a travel website (Orbitz, Travelocity, Yahoo Travel, etc) and search on a round trip flight from the closest airport to you to Cabo San Lucas (SJD airport code). This will turn up all available flight combinations, including total flight times and various fares. You can then see what kinds of layovers you'll be subject to for the various stops. A direct (non-stop) flight isn't necessary the least expensive. But, a flight with stops will necessarily take longer to get there than a non-stop. And, some of the flights have multiple stops in some strange cities that could result in a very long travel time. For example, there's one airline out of LAX that stops in Phoenix and Mexico City on it's way to Cabo, making a normally 2-1/2 hour flight take almost 15 hours in total flight time.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
